Homicide Under Investigation in Branford; Suspect in Custody

Branford Police are investigating a homicide at 100 Hemlock Road. Suspect is in custody. Public urged to avoid the area.

BRANFORD, CT — A homicide investigation is underway following a deadly incident reported Thursday afternoon at 100 Hemlock Road, according to Branford Police.

Officers responded to the scene at approximately 4:00 PM. The area was secured as detectives initiated evidence collection and canvassed for additional details. Police confirmed that one individual is in custody in connection with the incident.

Authorities stated there is no continued threat to the public. The identity of the victim has not yet been released, and details surrounding the circumstances remain limited.

The department advised residents to avoid the vicinity of Hemlock Road as the investigation continues. Detectives are actively processing the scene and gathering witness statements.

Branford Police are urging anyone with relevant information to contact them at 203-481-4241. Further updates will be issued as the investigation progresses.
