NORTH BRANFORD, CT — Police have arrested a Branford man accused of driving under the influence and causing a fatal crash that killed an 82-year-old woman in March.
According to the North Branford Police Department, Dylan Ward, 54, of Branford, was taken into custody Thursday for his role in a crash that occurred on March 5 at the intersection of Foxon Road and Doral Farms Road.
The collision resulted in the death of Diane Golia, 82, also of Branford, police said.
Ward faces multiple charges including manslaughter in the second degree, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, operating under suspension, failure to drive in the proper lane, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
Police confirmed Ward was held on a $250,000 court-set bond and has been arraigned.
