Middletown Pages Book Festival

Celebrate the magic of the written word with the free, all-day Middletown Pages Book Festival on June 21, 2025, from 10 AM to 5 PM in downtown Middletown. Hosted by the Wesleyan RJ Julia Bookstore and Middletown Pages, the festival offers something for every reader:

• 10 AM (Bookstore): Children’s storytime with award-winning author‑illustrator Bob Shea, featuring his humorous Bearsuit Turtle Makes a Friend
• 10 AM–12 PM (Holy Trinity): Reader meetup & bookswap, bring books to exchange over coffee and treats, with a focus on romance, fantasy, thriller, and dystopia
• 11 AM (Bookstore): Betsy Lerner, author of Shred Sisters, discusses her debut novel about sisters and mental illness
• 1 PM (Holy Trinity): Lisa Genova, known for Still Alice, presents her new novel More or Less Maddy, exploring bipolar disorder and stand-up comedy
• 2:30–4 PM (Holy Trinity): Young Writers Workshop led by Sarah Moon, tailored for tweens and teens, focusing on YA and middle-grade writing
• 3–5 PM (Bookstore): Local Author Showcase – meet regional writers, learn about their work, and purchase signed copies

Priority tickets ($20) are available through the festival’s website and include front-row seating for Lisa Genova’s session plus a copy of More or Less Maddy.
