Sha’Carri Richardson from the United States secured second place, finishing closely behind at 10.89 seconds. The semifinal also featured strong performances from G. Bass of Gambia, who finished third with a time of 11.10 seconds, and P. van der Weken from Luxembourg, who came in fourth at 11.13 seconds. Unfortunately, S.A. Fraser-Pryce from Jamaica did not start (DNS).
