All gathered to acknowledge Nicholson’s achievements and the continued growth of her business on Hebron’s Main Street.

The Flour Girl Bakery & Café is a women-owned and operated small business known for its artisan breads and locally famous Sunday cinnamon rolls.

Nicholson’s recognition follows her recent selection as a finalist for the 2024 CRAZIES Awards in the Pastry Chef of the Year category.

Founded with a focus on quality craftsmanship and community connection, The Flour Girl has grown into a staple in eastern Connecticut’s small business scene.

Nicholson’s passion for baking and her commitment to local sourcing and hospitality continue to draw statewide attention.

A new expansion is currently underway for the bakery, promising additional offerings and an updated space to accommodate its growing customer base.

The award underscores Nicholson’s role as a leading example of Connecticut’s small business resilience and innovation.
