NVIDIA Announces Strong Financial Results and AI Innovations at Computex 2024

NVIDIA continues to lead the technology sector with significant advancements in AI, gaming, and data center operations. The company recently announced its financial results for the first quarter of fiscal 2025, showcasing remarkable growth and promising future endeavors.

Financial Highlights NVIDIA reported a revenue of $26.0 billion for the quarter ended April 28, 2024, marking an 18% increase from the previous quarter and a staggering 262% increase from the same period last year. The company’s net income soared to $14.881 billion, a significant rise from $2.043 billion the previous year. NVIDIA also announced a 10-for-1 stock split effective June 7, 2024, and raised its quarterly cash dividend by 150% to $0.01 per share on a post-split basis.

Innovation and AI Advancements at Computex 2024 At Computex 2024, held from June 4-7 in Taipei, NVIDIA unveiled groundbreaking technologies poised to transform various industries. CEO Jensen Huang’s keynote address on June 2 highlighted the introduction of the Blackwell computing platform, designed to enhance AI performance with its new GB200-powered systems. These systems integrate with the NVIDIA Quantum-X800 InfiniBand and Spectrum-X800 Ethernet platforms, achieving speeds up to 800Gb/s.

  • NVIDIA GB200 NVL72: This new multi-node, liquid-cooled, rack-scale system offers 720 petaflops of AI training performance and 1.4 exaflops of AI inference performance.
  • DGX SuperPOD: A next-generation AI supercomputer featuring 11.5 exaflops of AI supercomputing at FP4 precision and 240 terabytes of fast memory.
  • Generative AI Platforms: The introduction of NVIDIA’s new generative AI platforms, which promise to revolutionize software creation and deployment across industries.
  • Partnerships and Collaborations: Key industry leaders, including CEOs from Alphabet, Amazon, Dell, Meta, Microsoft, and Tesla, endorsed NVIDIA’s Blackwell platform.

Automotive and Robotics Innovations NVIDIA’s automotive sector reported a revenue of $329 million, a 17% increase from the previous quarter. The company announced the adoption of its next-generation DRIVE Thor platform, featuring Blackwell GPU architecture, by leading automotive manufacturers such as BYD, XPENG, and Lucid. Additionally, NVIDIA introduced Project GR00T, a new foundation model for humanoid robots, further enhancing its Isaac robotics platform.
