Bridgeport, CT – Ponce Health Sciences University (PHSU) and the University of Bridgeport (UB) have launched a Master of Science in Medical Sciences (MSMS) program.
A course designed to expand access to healthcare careers. The program supports the underrepresented students in medical education by offering a curriculum modeled on the first year of PHSU’s Medical Doctorate program.
The collaboration reflects PHSU’s mission to increase diversity in healthcare professions.
The program targets aspiring medical students and healthcare professionals looking to strengthen their academic credentials. It provides a structured pathway for individuals who have not gained admission to medical school or have taken non-traditional academic routes.
The MSMS curriculum integrates artificial intelligence and machine learning tools to enhance student success.
Predictive analytics dashboards offer insights into academic performance and forecast potential success on the USMLE Step 1 exam, a crucial milestone for medical students. The analytics, developed by Tiber Health Innovation, provide students with an early assessment of their medical school readiness.
University of Bridgeport aims to extend the program’s reach to students in the Northeast United States and beyond.
The partnership brings a new dimension to UB’s health sciences offerings, aligning with its commitment to serving a diverse student population.
Enrollment for the MSMS program is now open, with classes beginning in May and September 2025.
