BRIDGEPORT, CT — NY Caffeine opened a new café at 855 Main St. on Monday, marking the company’s first Connecticut location. Bridgeport officials and residents joined the ribbon cutting downtown.

Mayor Joe Ganim welcomed the café, calling it a positive addition to the city’s core.

“We’re thrilled to welcome a new business to our community,” Ganim said. “This is a great addition to Main Street and a sign of the continued revitalization happening in Bridgeport.”

City Council President Aidee Nieves attended and emphasized the business’s local value.

“It’s always a great honor to be a part of a new business opening downtown,” Nieves said. “This location not only adds to the growth of Main Street, but it also creates a vibrant new space for residents and visitors alike.”

NY Caffeine co-founder Mike thanked city leaders for the reception.

“We’re so happy to be in Connecticut,” he said. “Thank you to the mayor, the councilwoman, and everyone who made this possible. We’re excited for what’s ahead.”

The brand, originally based in Franklin Square, N.Y., is known for its specialty drinks and beach cabana-style décor. The Bridgeport menu includes Italian pastries and signature items like a cookie dough croissant and a Dubai Chocolate Brownie.

The croissant features a crisp shell with warm cookie dough filling. The brownie includes pistachio cream and crispy kadayif layered inside.

The event drew residents, entrepreneurs and city staff. Officials called the opening another step in the downtown business revival.
