Tara Davis-Woodhall secured the gold medal for Team USA in the Women’s Long Jump at the Paris Olympics. The event, held on August 8, 2024, saw Davis-Woodhall soar to a remarkable 7.10 meters, outpacing a competitive field and bringing home the top honor for her country.

Davis-Woodhall’s performance was the highlight of the day, as she edged out Germany’s Malaika Mihambo, the silver medalist, who jumped 6.98 meters. This victory marks a significant achievement for Davis-Woodhall, reinforcing her status as one of the best long jumpers in the world. Fellow American, Jazmin Moore, also made it to the podium, claiming the bronze medal with a leap of 6.96 meters, adding to Team USA’s impressive medal tally in athletics.

Rounding out the top six was the United States’ Quanesha Burks, who jumped 6.67 meters, demonstrating the depth of talent in this event.
