Dump Truck Rollover Shuts Route 9 North Exit in New Britain

NEW BRITAIN, CT — A dump truck rollover on Route 9 North near Exit 37 in New Britain closed the exit ramp to Route 72 West on Monday evening, causing significant traffic disruptions. The Connecticut Department of Transportation reported the incident occurred around 6:30 p.m., leading to the temporary closure of the ramp. State police responded to the scene and indicated that possible injuries were reported, though the extent of those injuries remains unclear. Additionally, the crash resulted in sign damage, which has been reported to DOT officials. The ramp was reopened later in the evening after the scene was cleared.
