NEW HAVEN, CT — Two people were injured in separate New Haven stabbings on Memorial Day, according to the New Haven Police Department, as officers continue investigating both incidents that left residents shaken but not critically harmed.

The first New Haven stabbing occurred around 3:30 p.m. near the 200 block of Winthrop Avenue, where a woman was stabbed and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police said no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active.

Later that evening, a 23-year-old man was stabbed near Jennings Way and Pollard Street. He was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening wounds. Authorities have not yet released details regarding suspects or motives in either case.

These Memorial Day incidents come just days after a May 20 stabbing near Elm and Kensington streets, where police arrested 44-year-old Willie Boulware Jr. in connection with the attack on a 50-year-old West Haven man.

The New Haven Police Department urges anyone with information about the Memorial Day New Haven stabbings to contact their tip line at 203-946-6304.
