A Hartford man was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) after being caught wrong-way driving on an I-84 off-ramp, with a blood alcohol content more than twice the legal limit.

Angel Sanabria, 44, was apprehended over the weekend after state troopers observed his erratic driving on the I-84 off-ramp. The incident, which could have resulted in a severe accident, highlights ongoing concerns about impaired driving in Connecticut. According to authorities, Sanabria’s blood alcohol content was significantly above the legal limit, posing a substantial risk to other motorists.

The arrest occurred after a vigilant trooper noticed Sanabria’s vehicle traveling in the wrong direction. Upon stopping the vehicle, officers conducted a field sobriety test, which Sanabria failed. He was subsequently charged with DUI and other related offenses.
