Danbury, CT – Danbury has been ranked the ninth most diverse city in the United States, according to a study released by WalletHub this week.
The annual report assessed more than 500 cities, and placed Danbury among major metropolitan areas such as Houston, New York, and Los Angeles.
Mayor Roberto Alves confirmed the ranking, citing it as a reflection of Danbury’s economic and cultural landscape.
The WalletHub study measured diversity across five categories: economic, socioeconomic, cultural, religious, and household composition. It examined factors such as language diversity, birthplace, job sectors, and household structures.
Danbury has consistently been recognized for its diverse population, shaped by decades of immigration and economic shifts.
The city’s workforce includes professionals, entrepreneurs, and laborers from various backgrounds, contributing to industries ranging from healthcare to construction.
