Doris Lemngole Sets New Collegiate Record in Women’s 3,000m Steeplechase

Alabama freshman Doris Lemngole set a new collegiate record in the women’s 3,000m steeplechase at the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on June 8, 2024. Lemngole finished with a time of 9:15.24, breaking the previous record of 9:16.00 set in 2022.

Lemngole’s performance was outstanding, demonstrating her dominance in the steeplechase and setting a new standard for collegiate athletes. Her victory was one of the many highlights at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
