East Lyme Police Renew Call for Help in 2021 Missing Person Case

EAST LYME, CT— The East Lyme Police Department has renewed its appeal to the public for information on Andrew “Valeri” Lavigne, who was reported missing over four years ago and remains unaccounted for.

Lavigne, a 31-year-old white male, was last seen around February 1, 2021, in New Haven. He was officially reported missing on February 16, 2021. The case remains active and is now classified as a cold case.

Details released by police describe Lavigne as standing 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing 153 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He is partially disabled, uses a cane, and has a documented history of substance abuse. These conditions have raised ongoing concern for his safety.

The East Lyme Police have investigated the disappearance under case number CFS#21-00002014.

Lavigne is also listed in the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs), a federal database used to assist in missing person cases nationwide.
