The feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake has escalated over recent weeks, featuring several high-profile diss tracks. Kendrick’s “Euphoria” and “6:16 in LA” were particularly impactful, with the latter breaking streaming records and debuting at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. This rivalry hit its peak when Kendrick’s track “Not Like Us” became a hit single, further solidifying his position in the feud.

Despite the heated exchanges, Kendrick used his Juneteenth concert to promote unity and healing. The concert was announced on June 6, with tickets selling out quickly. Kendrick’s focus on Juneteenth was seen as a strategic move to shift attention from the feud to more significant cultural issues. The event featured performances from several artists and emphasized themes of liberation, freedom, and community solidarity.
