Outdoor Sauna Fire Contained by Marlborough Firefighters

Marlborough firefighters swiftly contained an outdoor sauna fire on Sturbridge Road, preventing damage to a nearby home.

Marlborough, CT – An outdoor sauna went up in flames over the weekend in Marlborough, drawing a swift response from firefighters who prevented the fire from spreading to a nearby home.

Crews arrived at a residence on Sturbridge Road on Saturday, March 15, to find a 10-by-10 sauna fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters acted quickly, containing the fire before it reached the house.

Authorities have not said whether anyone was injured in the fire. The cause of the blaze remains unclear.
