SALISBURY, CT — A vehicle rollover on Route 44 near 246 Canaan Road disrupted traffic Saturday afternoon as emergency responders closed a stretch of the state highway to investigate the crash.

State police said the incident was reported in the area of 246 Canaan Road. Responders arrived shortly after the call to find a vehicle overturned.

Authorities did not release additional details about the make or model of the vehicle or whether additional passengers were inside at the time of the crash.

Police said the injured individual was treated at the scene. The extent of the injuries was described as minor, and no hospital transport was noted in the initial release.

Due to the wreckage and response efforts, Route 44 was closed for an unspecified period. Officials reopened the road once the scene was cleared and deemed safe for travel. Traffic in the area resumed normal flow after the closure.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the cause of the crash. The investigation remains active.

“The investigation is still ongoing,” state police said. No charges or citations have been issued at this time.
