UConn (21-11-2, 19-6-2 Hockey East) claims the top seed for the second straight year, aiming to defend its Bertagna Trophy after securing the program’s first-ever Hockey East Tournament Championship last season.

Senior goaltender Tia Chan, named Hockey East Goaltender of the Year, has been a wall in net. She also earned First Team All-Star recognition alongside senior defender Ava Rinker, the team’s cornerstone on the blue line, who has suited up for every game this season.
Freshman forward Claire Murdoch, the team’s primary offensive catalyst, was named to the Second Team All-Star lineup and unanimously selected for the All-Rookie Team.
Senior forward Jada Habisch and sophomore forward Ashley Allard have provided crucial depth, earning Third Team All-Star selections. They have played every game this season, combining for 21 of UConn’s 75 total goals.
Merrimack (9-22-4, 5-18-4 Hockey East) arrives with momentum after dispatching No. 7 seed New Hampshire, 3-1, in the tournament’s opening round.
UConn controlled the regular-season series, sweeping all three matchups and collecting the maximum nine points.
Freshman forward Chloe Goofers leads the Warriors with 19 points and earned Hockey East All-Rookie Team honors.
