BRIDGEPORT, CT — Tradebe marked Earth Day with an open house Monday that drew the Bridgeport Police Department, its top brass, and a contingent of cadets.

The company handed over a $5,000 donation to support the city’s police cadet program, which trains and mentors young residents interested in law enforcement.

“The Bridgeport Police Department, including our Chief, officers, and Bridgeport Police Cadets were proud to take part in Tradebe’s Earth Day Open House,” the department stated.

The event took place at Tradebe’s Bridgeport facility, where uniformed officers mingled with staff and cadets stood by. The cadet unit accepted the donation publicly.

“Our Cadet program was honored with a generous $5,000 donation in support of its mission to inspire and develop future leaders,” the department said.

Mayor Joe Ganim appeared on site to issue a proclamation recognizing Tradebe’s environmental efforts and civic engagement. The citation underscored the firm’s role in community partnership.

“Special thanks to Mayor Joe Ganim for presenting a Proclamation to Tradebe, recognizing their dedication to environmental progress and community partnership,” the department added.

Tradebe, which specializes in waste management and industrial services, used the open house to spotlight its green practices and local investment. Its donation comes as the cadet program expands its reach in the city.

The check was delivered without spectacle, but the gesture landed clearly. The $5,000 will help fund cadet training and activities aimed at cultivating future public safety leaders.

There were no public speeches from company officials during the open house. No additional program details were announced at the time. The focus remained fixed on community involvement and cadet support.
