Angel Reese led the Chicago Sky to an 88-84 win over the Seattle Storm, marking a pivotal moment in the WNBA season. Her extraordinary performance, highlighted by a career-high 25 points and 16 rebounds, not only secured the victory but also extended her record streak of double-doubles to eight consecutive games.

Reese’s impact was most evident in the final minutes of the game. With the Sky trailing 82-70 with just over six minutes remaining, Reese ignited a comeback by scoring 10 points and grabbing five rebounds, turning the tide in favor of Chicago. Her crucial offensive rebound and subsequent three-point play tied the game at 82-all with three minutes left, setting the stage for a dramatic finish.

Caitlin Clark of the Seattle Storm also delivered an impressive performance, playing the entire game and recording 17 points, 13 assists, and six rebounds. Despite Clark’s efforts, the Storm couldn’t withstand Reese’s late-game heroics.

The game’s significance extended beyond the court, attracting a star-studded audience, including Chance the Rapper and Jason Sudeikis. The high-profile match was a hot ticket, with average entry prices reaching $351, according to Vivid Seats.

Chicago’s win against the Storm follows their victory over the Dallas Wings, marking back-to-back wins after a four-game losing streak. The Sky’s current record stands at 6-9, while the Storm’s record falls to 7-11, snapping their four-game win streak.

This victory not only underscores Reese’s dominance but also enhances the Sky’s standings as they aim for a strong finish to the season.
