Rocky Hill, CT – Nighttime construction work will begin the week of Monday, Feb. 17 on portions of Silas Deane Highway, where crews will repair and rehabilitate sanitary sewer pipes, the Metropolitan District (MDC) announced.
The project, led by Paramount Construction LLC with National Water Main Cleaning Company as a subcontractor, involves CCTV inspections and Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) lining, a trenchless technology designed to restore aging pipelines with minimal digging. Limited excavation may be required if significant damage is detected.
Motorists should expect temporary lane closures and alternating one-way traffic in work zones.
Night work is scheduled Sunday through Thursday, 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, with an estimated duration of six weeks.
Additional notices will be issued ahead of pipe-lining work or temporary service interruptions.
