BRISTOL, CT — The Bristol health expo returned Sunday with a powerful showcase of holistic wellness, drawing hundreds to the DoubleTree by Hilton for the 14th Bi-Annual Passport to Health and Wellness Expo. This free community event brought together over 75 vendors and practitioners to celebrate alternative healing, nutrition, mindfulness, and energy-based therapies—a growing focus within Connecticut’s wellness scene.
Organized by Holistic Community Professionals, the event promoted an integrative approach to well-being. Visitors experienced hands-on demonstrations in reiki, massage therapy, tai chi, and reflexology, along with wellness products like organic skincare and herbal remedies. Intuitive readings and crystal healing sessions added a spiritual layer to the health-focused atmosphere.
One of the day’s highlights was keynote speaker Dr. Madhava Setty, an MIT-trained engineer and board-certified anesthesiologist. His talk, “When Experts Disagree: How Is the Truth Revealed?”, encouraged attendees to critically evaluate medical narratives and reclaim agency over their health decisions.
Throughout the day, speakers presented every half-hour on diverse topics including nutritional healing, energy medicine, and personal empowerment. The event wrapped with a Soundscape Collective guided by Katie Cavanagh, blending drumming and sound healing in a communal setting.
A raffle of wellness gifts supported IC911.org, while donations helped fund future holistic expos and educational programs. For information on participating as a vendor or speaker in upcoming events, visit yourholisticevents.com or contact Shirley Bloethe at 860-989-0033.
