New Haven, CT – The FBI New Haven division has announced Wednesday, March 5, its continued support for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the arrest and deportation of individuals linked to violent crimes and drug offenses.
Over the past two weeks, law enforcement efforts have led to the detention of multiple suspects charged with or convicted of serious crimes, including aggravated assault, drug trafficking, and sexual assault.
“FBI New Haven is proud to support our partners at DHS & ICE in the arrest and deportation of” these individuals, the agency stated.
Among those taken into custody, one individual was charged with second-degree assault under C.G.S. § 53a-60, while another faced third-degree assault charges under C.G.S. § 53a-61.
Authorities also apprehended a suspect accused of possession with intent to distribute under C.G.S. § 21a-277.
Additional arrests included a fourth-degree sexual assault charge under C.G.S. § 53a-73a, a suspect allegedly operating a chop shop under C.G.S. § 14-149a, and another individual facing charges of organized retail theft under C.G.S. § 53-142k.
