Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson Leads Men’s 100m Semifinals at Paris Olympics 2024

Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson emerged as the leader in the Men’s 100m Semifinals at the Paris Olympics 2024. The race, which took place on August 4, 2024, saw Thompson clock an impressive time of 9.80 seconds, securing his spot in the finals and establishing himself as a favorite for the gold medal.

Canada’s Andre De Grasse, a prominent figure in sprinting, finished fifth with a time of 9.98 seconds. Zharnel Hughes from Great Britain finished sixth with a time of 10.01 seconds, followed by Azamati Benjamin Saminu from Ghana at 10.05 seconds. Kenya’s Ferdinand Omanyala and Thailand’s Puriphon Boonson rounded out the lineup, finishing with times of 10.08 seconds and 10.14 seconds, respectively.

The Men’s 100m semifinals were keenly observed by athletics enthusiasts around the world.
