SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Hannoush Jewelers on Buckland Road was burglarized early Monday morning, prompting an ongoing investigation into what was taken and whether the incident is connected to other recent thefts across Connecticut.

At approximately 4:20 a.m., South Windsor police received an alarm activation from the store. Officers arrived within minutes and discovered that a suspect had broken in through a window.

Inside, display cases had been smashed and merchandise removed. The total value of the stolen items is still being assessed in coordination with the store owner.

Police identified a suspect vehicle believed to be involved in the crime — an older-model Hyundai Santa Fe with a paper registration. Investigators noted that the same vehicle may have been used in other recent jewelry store burglaries across nearby cities and towns in recent months.

Authorities are actively reviewing surveillance footage and working with law enforcement agencies in neighboring jurisdictions to determine whether the incident is part of a broader pattern of targeted burglaries.

The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been announced as of Tuesday morning.
