Juliette Whittaker and Roisin Willis Go 1-2 for Stanford in the Women’s 800m at NCAA Championships

Stanford’s Juliette Whittaker and Roisin Willis delivered a stunning performance in the women’s 800m at the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on June 8, 2024. Whittaker took first place with a time of 1:59.21, followed closely by her teammate Willis, who finished in 1:59.85. Their 1-2 finish was a remarkable achievement, highlighting Stanford’s dominance in the middle-distance events.

The duo’s performance was a significant highlight of the championships, demonstrating exceptional speed, endurance, and strategic racing. Whittaker’s and Willis’s ability to maintain their pace and outlast their competitors in the final stretch showcased their training and determination.

Their victory at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, not only added to Stanford’s impressive track record in collegiate athletics but also set the stage for their future careers in track and field. The 800m race was highly competitive, with several athletes achieving personal bests.
