New Milford, CT — Fans of Gilmore Girls are converging on New Milford this weekend for a multi-day convention honoring the beloved television series.

The town, nestled in western Connecticut, has long been associated with the show’s fictional setting, Stars Hollow.

The convention transforms New Milford into a living tribute to the series, which centers on the lives of a fast-talking mother and daughter in a small, eccentric town. The creator of Gilmore Girls has cited communities like New Milford and nearby Washington Depot as key inspirations for the show’s setting.

The weekend agenda includes walking tours, themed activities, and local business participation. Shops and restaurants are rebranding storefronts and menus to echo Stars Hollow landmarks.

The event allows attendees to explore the real-life backdrop that gave rise to one of television’s most iconic small towns.

Though no cast appearances have been announced, the town’s atmosphere is drawing devoted fans.

Events continue through Sunday.
