Mansfield, CT — A Connecticut man surrendered to the Connecticut State Police on Monday after police issued an arrest warrant accusing him of taking payment for a home project he never completed, state police said.

Victor A. Jorge Jr., 55, turned himself in at Troop C-Tolland at approximately 3:28 p.m. in connection with an August 23, 2024, incident in Mansfield, according to police.

Investigators said Jorge had agreed to perform work at a victim’s residence but never returned after receiving payment.

Authorities did not disclose the amount involved in the alleged fraud, but Jorge was charged with larceny in the second degree under Connecticut General Statutes 53a-123.

Jorge was taken into custody and later released on a $25,000 bond, police said. He is scheduled to appear in Rockville Superior Court on March 27, 2025.
