The 24-year-old athlete cleared the bar on his second attempt, securing his place in history and leaving spectators in awe.

The atmosphere at the Stade de France was electric as Duplantis prepared for his record-breaking jump. Thousands of fans from around the world watched in anticipation, their excitement palpable as he approached the runway. With flawless technique and immense focus, Duplantis soared over the bar, eliciting a thunderous ovation from the crowd and accolades from his fellow competitors.

Known for his extraordinary athletic prowess from a young age, Duplantis became the youngest male athlete to clear six meters in pole vaulting at just 17 years old.

Following his historic jump, Duplantis expressed his elation and gratitude:

“Breaking the world record at the Olympics is a dream come true. The energy from the crowd was incredible, and it pushed me to give my best. I’m thrilled to have made my country proud and to have set a new standard in pole vaulting.”
