WINDSOR, CT — Windsor Public Schools will roll out a new “Classroom on Wheels” this summer, a mobile learning initiative designed to bring education directly to neighborhoods across the town. Launching in the second week of July 2025, the Classroom on Wheels aims to enhance accessibility and promote year-round learning for students and families in Windsor.
The Classroom on Wheels is a fully outfitted school bus transformed into a mobile educational hub. Staffed by certified educators, it will feature free programming such as literacy enrichment, STEM activities, and social-emotional development sessions. The initiative seeks to support ongoing education during summer months when traditional classes are on break.
“Our mission is to make learning accessible and engaging beyond the classroom walls,” said Abdel-Hady, a representative from Windsor Public Schools. “By bringing our Classroom on Wheels directly to neighborhoods, we hope to foster educational equity and inspire young learners.”
The mobile unit will follow a rotating schedule, stopping at various locations throughout Windsor. The district will notify families of stop times and activities via official communication channels and community outreach events.
Windsor Public Schools continues to innovate in educational delivery, and the Classroom on Wheels represents a step forward in addressing learning gaps and building stronger community ties.
Residents seeking more information about the Classroom on Wheels schedule and programs can visit the Windsor Public Schools website or contact the district’s administrative office.
