HARTFORD, CT— State Representative Kurt Vail welcomed students from Woodstock Elementary School to the Connecticut State Capitol on Wednesday, April 9, ahead of the day’s legislative session.
The visit was part of an educational tour of the Capitol Complex focused on Connecticut history.
“Before diving into today’s session, I had the chance to meet with some amazing students from Woodstock Elementary School,” Vail said.
Students explored the Capitol grounds while engaging with lawmakers and staff. The visit offered a direct look into the state’s legislative process and the historical roots of Connecticut governance.
“They came to tour the Capitol Complex and learn about Connecticut history,” Vail noted during the visit.
The representative reflected on the significance of the event, emphasizing community ties. “It was such a great reminder of why we do this work – connecting with our community and the next generation!”
