BETHANY, CT — Woodbridge Regional Animal Control is asking for the public’s help in identifying who abandoned two tick-infested bully dogs found last month on a roadside in Bethany.
The dogs were discovered on April 16 near Brooks Road off Downs Road, according to officials.
One of the dogs was described as a male red bully with a stitch in his left ear, which has since been removed. The other was identified as a female blue bully.
Both animals were infested with ticks, animal control said in a statement.
Officials confirmed the dogs are safe and will be made available for adoption at a later date.
Anyone with information about the dogs or the person responsible for abandoning them is asked to contact Woodbridge police at 203-389-5991.
