Two Men Surrender in Brutal Baseball Bat Assault Case; Multiple Felony Charges Filed

Two Connecticut men have been charged after a violent 2024 baseball bat assault in Litchfield that left several victims seriously injured.

LITCHFIELD, Conn. — Two Connecticut men turned themselves in on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Troop L-Litchfield following a months-long investigation into a violent November 2024 assault involving a baseball bat and multiple injured victims.

Anthony Sidoti, 30, of Southington, and Louis Williamson, 49, of Bethlehem, surrendered on active arrest warrants tied to the same incident. Authorities confirmed that “several victims sustained serious injuries” after the bat was wielded as a weapon during the attack.

Sidoti faces six criminal charges. He was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Burglary in the First Degree (C.G.S. 53a-48/53a-101), Breach of Peace in the Second Degree (C.G.S. 53a-181), Conspiracy to Commit Assault in the First Degree (C.G.S. 53a-48/53a-59), Conspiracy to Commit Assault in the Second Degree (C.G.S. 53a-48/53a-60), Threatening in the Second Degree (C.G.S. 53a-62), and Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree (C.G.S. 53a-63). He posted a $20,000 bond and is set to appear in Torrington Superior Court on April 3, 2025.

Williamson, who faces ten charges, was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Burglary in the First Degree (C.G.S. 53a-48/53a-101), Burglary in the First Degree (C.G.S. 53a-101), Larceny in the Sixth Degree (C.G.S. 53a-125b), Breach of Peace in the Second Degree (C.G.S. 53a-181), Assault in the First Degree (C.G.S. 53a-59), Conspiracy to Commit Assault in the First Degree (C.G.S. 53a-48/53a-59), Conspiracy to Commit Assault in the Second Degree (C.G.S. 53a-48/53a-60), Assault in the Second Degree (C.G.S. 53a-60), Threatening in the Second Degree (C.G.S. 53a-62), and Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree (C.G.S. 53a-63). He was released after posting a $75,000 bond, with the same April 3, 2025 court date.

State Police have not disclosed further details on the motive or number of victims.
