Hartford, CT – Finding MRI, CT, and PET-CT imaging services in Connecticut just became easier.

The Healthscore CT Imaging Inventory is a tool developed by the Office of Health Strategy (OHS). The new innovation offers an interactive way for consumers to locate imaging facilities close to home, work, or school.

“Check out the new Imaging Inventory tool OHS has created to help you locate MRI, CT, and PET services close to home, work, or school,” OHS announced.

The Healthscore CT Imaging Inventory pulls data from the Statewide Health Care Facilities and Services Inventory. The tool allows users to search by map or table and set a preferred search radius.

The tool provides geographic access to imaging facilities and also reveals how resources are distributed across the state.

According to OHS, users can see how many scanners a specific hospital or imaging center has and review data on imaging service utilization.

“The Healthscore CT Imaging Inventory is an important consumer tool that provides an interactive tool to help you locate and learn more about imaging services available in Connecticut,” OHS said.

Beyond pinpointing locations, the inventory tracks imaging usage trends from 2018 to 2022. The interactive tool shows how demand for these services has evolved.

Users can also explore the number of scans performed at a local or statewide level.

“The Healthscore CT Imaging Inventory uses the Office of Health Strategy’s Statewide Health Care Facilities and Services Inventory to create an interactive tool to help you locate computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT) imaging services in your community,” according to OHS.

The Healthscore CT Imaging Inventory provides a way for patients to make informed choices about their options.

“The inventory allows you to search for imaging facilities by map or by table, and to define how far from home you’d like your search to extend,” OHS noted.

The tool provides clarity on imaging availability and gives a broader look at statewide trends in healthcare access. OHS continues to monitor utilization patterns to ensure that services are aligned with patient needs across Connecticut.
