Hartford, CT – The Connecticut State Police (CSP) applauded Detective Samantha Haynes for receiving the prestigious TFC Walter Greene Award from Special Olympics Connecticut.
Haynes is recognized as the top fundraiser for the agency’s annual Law Enforcement Torch Run.
Named in honor of the late Trooper First Class Walter Greene, the award celebrates officers who exemplify dedication and commitment to supporting Special Olympics athletes.

In 2024, CSP, alongside local police departments, raised more than $800,000 for the cause.
With this year’s success, State Police are already gearing up for the 2025 Law Enforcement Torch Run, set for June.
