Milford, CT — A 25-year-old woman fought off two carjackers after one of them repeatedly punched and kicked her in an attempt to force her from the vehicle, authorities said.
Her brother told police she was inside the car when the suspects tried to take it. When their initial efforts failed, they drove off with her still inside, then attempted again on Cherry Street.
She managed to fight back and regain control of the vehicle, ultimately escaping the attack, officials said.
The suspects were last seen fleeing toward Exit 39 on Interstate 95 in a darker-colored SUV, according to police.
Authorities described one suspect as having dreads and wearing a grey sweat suit. The other man was dressed entirely in black.
The case remains under investigation, and officials urged anyone with information to contact Milford police at 203-878-6551.
