Norwich, CT – A woman wanted in connection with a police pursuit was arrested Thursday after ramming two Connecticut State Police cruisers, striking a fuel pump, and fleeing on foot, authorities said.

At approximately 3:06 p.m., Troopers from Troop E – Montville spotted a black Subaru Legacy traveling eastbound on Route 2 in Bozrah without a front license plate and failing to maintain its lane.

A check revealed the registered owner, Electra Chiulli (DOB 10/11/1991) of Old Saybrook, had an active warrant from a previous police pursuit in Old Saybrook.

Troopers followed the vehicle until it stopped at a gas station on Route 97 in Norwich. Knowing her history of evading police, troopers attempted a box-in maneuver to prevent escape.

Chiulli refused to exit the car. Officers broke a rear window, at which point she accelerated into a cruiser, reversed into a fuel pump, then rammed a second cruiser before escaping onto I-395 North.

She exited at Exit 19, continued on Route 169, and crashed into a guardrail while attempting to turn onto Strnad Road in Lisbon. Chiulli then fled on foot.

A Montville Police K9 team found her hiding under a deck nearby.

Officers recovered suspected narcotics and paraphernalia at the scene.

Chiulli was transported to a hospital for treatment and remains in custody.

She faces multiple charges, including reckless driving, evading responsibility, engaging police in pursuit, possession of narcotics, and attempted assault on a public safety officer.

She was held on a $500,000 bond and is scheduled for arraignment at Norwich Superior Court on March 14, 2025.
