WATERBURY, CT — Officers from the Waterbury Police Department, in collaboration with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and Groton Police, arrested 47-year-old Jeremy Colonghi of New London on Friday.
Colonghi was taken into custody in Groton without incident and is facing multiple charges tied to separate active warrants.
The arrest stemmed from an active warrant issued by Waterbury Police, charging Colonghi with first-degree stalking, criminal violation of a protective order, second-degree harassment, and disorderly conduct.
After being transported to Waterbury, he was additionally charged with refusal to be processed.
Authorities also confirmed that Colonghi was wanted on an outstanding failure to appear warrant from Waterbury Superior Court.
In addition, Groton Police have issued a separate arrest warrant against him, bringing further legal complications.
Colonghi is currently being held on a $215,000 bond and is scheduled for arraignment.
